One of the county’s primary sources of outdoor fun is 12,000-acre Lake Allatoona. With 270 miles of shoreline and 8 public marinas, it is one of the state’s best water attractions offering boating, swimming, water skiing, and fishing.
Red Top Mountain State Park is located on the shores of Allatoona and hosts over 1.3 million visitors annually. The 7-mile hiking trail offers opportunity to observe an abundance of wildlife. Conference facilities accommodate 200.
Dellinger Park is home to the city’s recreation department. The 111-acre facility features 13 lighted tennis courts, 7 athletic or multi-purpose fields, an olympic-sized pool, a 440-yard track, several footpaths and a “vita-course.” Bartow County also offers an impressive program.
